Edik Baghdasaryan, Armenia, started his career around 30 years ago as a TV reporter. After graduating from Moscow State University’s Department of TV Reportage, Baghdasaryan worked at Armenia’s TV and Radio State Committee from 1991-1999.
In 2000, he and some colleagues founded the Investigative Journalists NGO, which started to publish the Hetq online newspaper in 2001. From 2001-2017, Baghdasaryan taught investigative journalism at Yerevan State University.
Baghdasaryan has produced more than 50 documentary and investigative films as well as numerous stories revealing corruption and organized crime in Armenia.
