Mutegi Njau, Kenya, was a veteran investigative journalist and news television host with decades of experience.
He was a senior editor with the Royal Media Services, one of the largest and most popular radio and TV stations in Kenya, where he was a host on the top-rated Citizen TV. He was also the in-house training editor and was in charge of journalistic ethics and libel and defamation issues for the company.
Until 2005, Mutegi worked at the Nation Media Group for 24 years. He participated in the Global Integrity project as the reporter for Kenya for two consecutive years. He also took part in ICIJ's Collateral Damage project and wrote the story for the East African region.
Mutegi died in June 2024.
