Shinovene Immanuel, Namibia, is an investigative journalist at The Namibian newspaper.
Immanuel has been the head of the investigative unit at the newspaper since 2015. He specialises in corruption, politics, extractive industries, real estate and illicit financial flows. Some of the stories he has worked on have led to various changes in national laws and cancellation of questionable mega state contracts.
The investigative unit has worked on several national and international investigative projects, including ICIJ's Fatal Extraction and the Panama Papers.
Immanuel is a fellow at the amaBhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism, and was also part of the Wealth of Nations project by the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
