Ben Dooley is a reporter for ICIJ based in Washington, D.C.
He has covered Asia for over a decade, starting as a reporter in Washington and Beijing for Japan's Kyodo News. He spent three years at Agence France-Presse in China before moving to Tokyo, where he was a business correspondent for the New York Times.
Ben is fluent in Mandarin and Japanese. He has a master’s degree in East Asian studies from Stanford and a bachelor’s in Asian studies from the University of Virginia.
