Jan Lukas Strozyk, Germany, co-heads the research and data team at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
He specializes in data-driven reporting and analysis of large datasets. Strozyk was part of the reporting team in the Offshore Leaks China, Luxembourg Leaks, Swiss Leaks and the Panama Papers investigations. His work was honored with the Deutscher Fernsehpreis in 2017, the most renowned German prize for television journalists.
Strozyk was named one of Germany’s “Top 30 under 30” journalists in 2014 and a member of the “Newsroom of the Year” in 2013. Before his journalistic career, he earned a master’s degree in Islamic studies and American studies, and studied Arabic and Turkish in Syria and Turkey.
