Metin Munir, Turkey and Cyprus, has worked as a journalist for more than 50 years.
Starting in the 1970s, he wrote from Turkey for a number of international outlets including the Financial Times, BBC, The Washington Post and the ABC. He started in investigative journalism with the Insight team of The Sunday Times under the editorship of Harold Evans.
Munir was also a columnist for some of Turkey’s leading newspapers. Like many journalists, he was fired for opposing the Erdoğan regime. He now writes a column for the Cypriot newspaper Diyalog.
