P Vaidyanathan Iyer, India, is executive editor at The Indian Express and part of the newspaper’s leadership team.
He participated in ICIJ’s Panama Papers, Paradise Papers and Pandora Papers investigations.
Vaidy leads the The Indian Express reporting team, and is in charge of all reporting resources across the newspaper’s bureaus and editions. A reporter-editor, he writes on India’s political economy and investigates the link between politics, policies and businesses.
His awards include the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Investigative Reporting for the Panama Papers coverage, 2016, the Prem Bhatia Memorial Award for ‘best political reporting’ in 2016, the KCK Kulish Award of Merit for Excellence in Print Journalism in 2012, and the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Business Reporting in 2010, among others.
Vaidy is an Edward Mason Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. A recipient of the William A Starr Innovations Fellowship, he completed his masters in public administration from the Kennedy School in 2018.
