Yi-Shan Chen, Taiwan, is editor-in-chief at Taiwan's CommonWealth magazine and an instructor at National Taiwan University's School of Journalism.
With a background in economics, Yi-Shan began her career in 1996 at CommonWealth before later joining the China Times.
As a financial reporter, she covered financial reform, the privatization of state-owned enterprises and tax issues. She is interested in stories on reform during the democratic transformation of a nation, as well as crony capitalism and the fraud of financial systems.
She returned to CommonWealth Magazine in 2013.
